Without us knowing it the Congressman and his son Senator Francis 'Chiz' Escudero were regular patrons of our Law Students especially during their bar examinations wherein both father and son were regularly visiting our examinees and their supporters and even hosting dinners as a sign of support and camaraderie. These generous acts from our legislators are known to the students and are big boosts to our school since this is the first ever College of Law in the history of the province. Not only that, Sen. Chiz Escudero himself served as one of our earliest batch of professors when we started the College of Law. That time he was a young congressman for Sorsogon, a former University of the Philippines professor and acquired his M.A. in Law from Georgetown University in the United States.

The blogger wrote, "I have in my mind list of people with whom I am so thankful of. They gave me inspiration to live life as it is. Neither do I know them all personally, but in a way they touch my heart to live and give of what I have. Somehow these people give me aspiration to fulfill my destiny in a more positive manner. They made me realized that in this world there will always be positive and negative, bad and good, happiness and despair, life and death. But it is up to us to choose how to deal with it. The numbers does not correspond to their importance."

Escudero ranked number 73. In case you're interested, Avril Lavigne ranked way higher.

This is an account of the Open Forum on Resolving the Crisis in the Presidency held in Ateneo Professional Schools Auditorium. I was there. I was still in Ateneo Law School at that time. (Please don't make me reminisce. That was a nightmare.) It's a debate between administration and opposition lawmakers. Francis Escudero (without a doubt) won the admiration of most of the audience (most of them are females).

The blogger isn't really a big fan of Escudero. (Is the family name a clue? Just asking.) The current House Speaker was part of the open forum. Prospero Nograles is an Atenean through and through. His son also studies there. (Heck. I was seated beside the arrogant brat. I'm not taking my words back. Hell no!) I overheard Nograles on the way out of the auditorium,"Ayoko na dito. Lahat na lang kampi kay Chiz."

Poor Boy.

"The moment I’ve been waiting for finally came on Monday when I met my favorite member of the house Congressman Francis G. Escudero who authored the House Resolution (HR) No. 68 which enjoins all members of the House of Representatives to support the propagation of the Gawad Kalinga Program throughout the country as a doable, sustainable and replicable strategy of alleviating the plight of the poor sector of our society with the end goal of rebuilding the nation."

A Filipino blogger gives his opinion regarding the Child Internet Safety Bill that Senator Francis Escudero filed.

On a personal note, I share his question - how do you put this into action. It's really hard to clamp the Internet down.
